Parochial house
Johannsen Architects signed a total consultancy contract with Ødsted Parichial Church counsel on the construction of a new parish house that should be able to gather the congregation for example lectures, common singing, common eating, teaching of confirmations and used by day care mothers for pursuits with the little ones. The house must also handle the staff’s functions, including the priest’s room, the church singer and the crews’ crew facilities. The architecture of the parish is aligned with the church authorities and with regard to Ødsted Church. The podium building in the garden provides the opportunity for outdoor education.
The house is built with under floor heating and is heated by a heating pump. Materials that are included are traditional ones such as bricks, bitumen roof, brick floors and curved wood concrete ceiling in common areas.
